About Yoshinoya

Yoshinoya, located at 775 E Ramsey St Unit 1 in Banning, California, is a distinguished Japanese fast food restaurant that has been delighting customers with its signature rice bowls for over a century. Founded in 1899 in Tokyo’s Nihonbashi neighborhood, Yoshinoya began as a small family-run gyudon (beef bowl) shop catering to busy fishermen who needed a quick, hearty meal between their demanding work schedules. This original concept of serving freshly prepared, flavorful rice bowls quickly and affordably remains the cornerstone of Yoshinoya’s mission today[1][3][5].

The restaurant’s history is deeply rooted in Japanese culture and tradition. After the Great Kanto earthquake in 1923 destroyed the original shop, Yoshinoya relocated to the Tsukiji fish market area, continuing to serve its loyal customers with the same dedication to quality and speed. Over the decades, Yoshinoya evolved from a single shop into a thriving chain, expanding throughout Japan and eventually internationally. The first American Yoshinoya opened in Colorado in 1975, marking the beginning of its global presence[1][3][5].

The menu features a variety of options, including the iconic beef bowl, alongside other protein and vegetable combinations that cater to diverse tastes. Each bowl is crafted to provide a satisfying and wholesome meal, perfect for those seeking a quick yet nourishing dining experience. The restaurant’s fast food model is designed to serve customers efficiently without compromising on flavor or freshness, making it an ideal choice for busy office workers, students, and families alike[4][5].

Yoshinoya’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is evident in every aspect of its operation. From the sourcing of ingredients to the preparation and presentation of each dish, the restaurant strives to maintain the high standards that have defined the brand for over 120 years. This dedication has helped Yoshinoya build a loyal customer base in Banning and beyond, where patrons appreciate the blend of traditional Japanese flavors with the convenience of fast food service[1][4].

Food was good. Could be a larger portion but all and all a 10. Cashier was very helpful on trying to use my coupon. Very kind and pleasant. Customer Service goes a long way in these trying times.

If you're looking for a quick, satisfying meal, Yoshinoya is always a solid choice. Their beef plate is the star of the menu, with tender, flavorful beef served over perfectly cooked rice. The portion size is just right—filling without being overwhelming—and it's a great value for the price. One thing I really appreciate about this location is how easy it is to get to. It has its own parking lot, so you don't have to waste time searching for parking before grabbing your meal. Another bonus is that Yoshinoya regularly offers coupons and rewards that help you save money on your favorite meals. Whether you use the app or take advantage of their online deals, it's easy to enjoy a delicious meal while spending a little less. If you're craving a tasty beef bowl or beef plate, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

Visiting the area on jury duty, I needed to grab lunch. Conveniently located right down the street. The service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was clean and the overall experience was great. I only gave four stars because the Boba was definitely off from other yoshinoya restaurants. Which could be a number of things, maybe it was aged, maybe it wasn’t prepared all the way 🤷🏻‍♀️ it definitely had no bounce and had the tapioca flour texture which mostly signifies that it’s aged or not warmed properly. Maybe I just got a bad batch. All it all was great and I’ll be back.

I have been going to Yoshinoya for years. Usually with some kind of coupon because the food has always been just ok. This Yoshinoya was very good. It’s a new building and that adds to it definitely. But, it was more than that, when I walked in the lady at the front counter greeted me and was friendly through-out my visit. The cook in the back was very friendly also. The food was fresh, vegetables crispy. Who says it’s not about atmosphere? I recommend this place for a good fast bite to eat.

I love Yoshinoya but I don't have easy access to a restaurant location. This location was clean and appeared well-maintained. The service was quick and friendly. The beef bowl was as good as I remember it. The person taking my order recommended the salmon and it was actually pretty tasty. Yoshinya is great if you can find one. I would recommend this location; the team there seems to care about this little location.
